Settling in

Scout (aka Cosette) is settling in nicely at her new foster home. She and her new friend Ashley play and sleep together. She listens well and loves to greet her foster family every time someone enters the room.

She doesn't like to go outside and sometimes has to be carried out. (This is funny to us because Ashley doesn't like to come inside and sometimes has to be carried in.) Once she's outside, she'll explore the yard and does well on a leash when we go on our daily walks.

Cosette!

I am a little lady-about 30 lbs. I am about 3 years old. I know that I like food, kids, dogs, playing outside, and my foster family:) You will find me relaxing on the rug, rolling in the grass, wagging my tail, smiling at my people, and politely accepting pets and treats. My favorite treat so far-paws down-it was some of mom's homecooked fried chicken!

Awww, Mom do I have to come in?

I have been frolicking in the backyard, listening to the birdies, but mom says it is dinnertime. I kept looking up from my bowl to see what what going on outside, but don't worry, I ate my meal lickety split. And for the record, it was my foster brother, a giant standard poodle, who put the paw marks on the door. Definately not polite little me!

and a little more wagging!

I am so happy that my feet are barely touching the ground!

Wagging and dancing and bowing

The very minute I got to my new yard, I couldn't stop wagging my tail and running up to my new foster family. They may have thought I was hilarious, but I was really saying, "this is so COOL!"

Ready for my close up!

Bonjour! I have arrived at my foster home in Northern Illinois. My foster mom thought I was so petite and dainty that a cute French name would suit me. And you know what they say, "when in Rome, I mean Paris."
