After breakfast nap time

Scout is a calm dog, except when it's time to eat. She's getting better but does prance around while we prepare their meals. She eats all her food in just a few bites and then tries to get into Ashley's bowl. Scout is never aggressive or mean when we pull her away from Ashley's food. She will even let us touch her while she eats.

Our guess is that she had to scrounge around for food before she came to IBR and doesn't yet realize that she will always get two meals a day and plenty of treats.

Scout is a great gal.

Scout is settling in nicely.

Scout was pretty scared of the storm last night. She hid in our office
under the chair. Otherwise, she's doing great!

Scout has a buddy

Scout is getting along just fine and dandy with little Ashley. They are playing up a storm!!

After the Playing...

...it's quiet time. Scout is one tired girl!

Fun in the backyard

Scout (aka Cosette) no longer needs to be carried out into the yard. She loves playing with Ashley, exploring her new territory and lounging in the grass. We do have to keep an eye on Scout because she is also quite curious about what is going on beyond the fence and has made a few attempts to get to the other side.

Settling in

Scout (aka Cosette) is settling in nicely at her new foster home. She and her new friend Ashley play and sleep together. She listens well and loves to greet her foster family every time someone enters the room.

She doesn't like to go outside and sometimes has to be carried out. (This is funny to us because Ashley doesn't like to come inside and sometimes has to be carried in.) Once she's outside, she'll explore the yard and does well on a leash when we go on our daily walks.

Cosette!

I am a little lady-about 30 lbs. I am about 3 years old. I know that I like food, kids, dogs, playing outside, and my foster family:) You will find me relaxing on the rug, rolling in the grass, wagging my tail, smiling at my people, and politely accepting pets and treats. My favorite treat so far-paws down-it was some of mom's homecooked fried chicken!
